Chapter five
Jules POV
I walked over to the.piano and started playing the.first song that popped into my head. I start playing the piano to Your Song by Elton John. Jamie starts to sing:

Then I began to sing:

Louis looked at me, “Wow.” I put my head in my hands, “was it that bad?” Simon smiled, “No it was amazing!” I felt my face become heated and I knew my face was probably a pinkish reddish. Jamie smiled, “thanks. See I told she was amazing!” Louis smiled, “She is more than amazing.”
Zayns POV
I couldn’t help myself from staring at Jamie. She was so beautiful and is an amazing singer. Simon interrupted my thoughts, “I think it is settled then. Girls would you come with me?” they nodded and left with him. “So what do you boys think about them?” Liam got up, “I think they are really good but Jules needs to be more confident on her singing cause she is really good.” Louis smiled, “I think they are both amazing.” Harry shoved Lou, “You have got that look in your eyes that makes me think you fancy one of them.” His face turned red, “No….maybe.” I laughed but then became serious, “It better not be Jamie.” Louis looked at me, “.Do you like her?”
“All I know is that I want to get to know her better.” Harry gave me a creepy smile, “Mmmmm boy got it bad.” I smiled, “So Lou does this mean you fancy Jules?” He chuckled, “She has a sparkle in her.”

He smiled, “I think she is beautiful and I would love to get to know her better.” I hope Simon signs them for I can spend more time with Jamie.
Jamie’s Pov
We walked to Simons office , “Have a seat ladies.” We sat down and waited. I think we were both hoping he was going to sign us. “I’m going to just say it.” He took a pause and I literally felt like I was going to pass out. “I want to sign both of you to the label and after I talk to the boys I want you both to go on tour with them.”
“Are you serious?”
He nodded and pulled out some papers, “I have the contracts right here.” I started to cry and I looked at Jules to see she was crying. “Are you girls ok?” We nodded, “It’s just that we worked really hard for the auditions and we didn’t make it and now this. It’s just this is all we ever wanted.” He smiled, “well your both eighteen so the decision is yours.” He flipped to a page in the packet he had pulled out, “I’ll leave and you can think about it. Just sign here and here.” He got up to leave and before he even got to the door I had already signed the paper. Jules didn’t. She sat there staring at the paper. “Jules, what’s wrong?” She wiped her tears, “This is all we ever wanted but I know that if I sign those papers that my mom will never speak to me again. She will never forgive me.” She put her head in her hands, “I don’t know what to do.” I hugged her, “Everything will be alright. I will always be here for you even if your mom isn’t. Remember this is everything we ever wanted.” She sat up straight, “Your right. I won’t let her ruin our our dreams.” She grabbed the pen and signed the papers. A few minutes later Simon came back in, “Did you make up your mind?” We nodded, “We both signed the papers.” He smiled, “Great then let’s get you girls started but before we do that lets go ask the boys to add you girls to the tour.”
Harry’s POv
Louis was recording his verse again when Simon came back in with the girls. ‘Lou you messed up again.” He smiled, “Sorry.” Louis came and joined us. Simon sat down, “boys I wanted to ask you if it was alright to add the girls into your tour.” We all nodded, “Yeah that would be great.” Zayn smiled, “Does that mean you signed them?” Simon nodded, “Yes I did sign them.” “Congrats!” I hugged Jules and Jamie, “I can wait to work with both of you.” Louis got up and hugged them too, “This calls for a celebration. How about both of you come over to my flat for a little get together? You can bring whoever you want.” Jamie smiled, “we would.love to!’ I put my arm around Jules, “You ok?you seem a little down.” she nodded, ‘I’m great. Just a little tired.” I smiled, “Starbucks?’. She smiled, “yes!’ We excused ourselves and walked to StArbucks since it was only a few blocks away. as we were walking to Starbucks people were taking pictures and asking for autographs. I looked at Jules, “Sorry for all those interruptions. It’s just that they’re fans I can’t walk away.” She nodded, “I understand its fine.” We were finally almost to Starbucks when paparazzi came. A big fat guy was yelling at us, “harry get closer to her we want a good shot of your girlfriend!” We kept walking, “She’s not my girlfriend! ” They kept taking pictures, “Sure she’s not!” Jules looked really upset, “He’s not my boyfriend! so why don’t you all get a life and leave us alone!” I laughed as we walked into Starbucks, “sorry about that. Uh I guess you handled it well.’ She laughed, “No I didn’t that was awful.” We ordered our coffee and sat down. She looked at me, “How do you deal with that? I wanted.to punch them all in the face.” I smile and sipped my coffee, “It’s hard to keep your cool especially like today, like whenever I’m seen with a girl they immediately think its my girlfriend. I never really get a chance to explain or just hang out with a girl. Most of the girls I fall for leave me because they don’t like the fame or they think I’m cheating because of what they see in magazines.” She sighed, “That’s really not fair. I think that people like you deserve to have a personal life.” I felt weird but in a good way. I really liked talking to Jules. She understood me and is so genuine. I think I have feelings for her but I’m not sure if I like her or if o like her as a friend. I guess only time will tell
Chapter four
Simon’s POV
I walked in to the record studio to find the boys already working in the studio, “hello boys how are we doing?
Harry smiled, “Doing well we just finished the first verse.” I sat down, “Good. Um we are going to have some visitors today. I hope you don’t mind.” Zayn smiled, “Depending? Are they hot girls?” I laughed, “well they are two beautiful girls. They are just here to check out the studio and I think I want to sign them to the label.” Liam smiled, ‘That’s nice.” my phone began to ring. I looked down to see Jamie calling me, “hello love.”
“Hey um we are on our way.”
“Good ill meet you outside. Bye.”
Jamie’s Pov
“Jules wake up!” She groaned, “What?!?”
“wake up! We have to meet Simon at the studio today.” She got up, “That’s today?”
“Yeah now hurry up we have an hour and A half to get ready.” She laughed, “oh god.” We got dressed and ate breakfast. Once we were ready we had ten minutes to spare. I called Simon to let him know we were on our way. Jules looked at me in the car, “Starbucks?” I laughed, “You read my mind.” we went through Starbucks drivethru and were back on our way to the record label. Once we parked Jules got a phone call from her mom. I let have her space so I got.out of the car so she could talk to her mom. She came out of the car looking very upset. “Hey you ok?”
She shook her head and A few tears escaped, “She said that I shouldn’t be doing this, I’m an awful daughter, and people are never going to listen to our music.” I hugged her, “Look if she is right then oh well at least we tried but you never know what could happen if we don’t try. Remember. Expect the unexpected.” she wiped her face, “You are right. Let’s go.” we walked to the front of the studio to find Simon outside waiting for us like he said he would. “Hello ladies.”
“Hello simon. How are you?” he hugged us both, “Great thanks for asking. How are you ladies? Excited?” Jules and I said in unison, “yes!” he laughed, “well come in girls.” he opened the door for us and showed us around. “These are the recording rooms. Would you like to go into one?” I smiled, “yes very much so.” He laughed, ” A little warning there is a band recording so keep it quiet.” we nodded. We walked in and there was One Direction.
Louis’ POV
I’m in the middle of my verse when Simon walked in with two very beautiful girls. Even though they were both beautiful one caught my eye and made me mess up my verse. ‘Lou you messed up. let’s do it over.” Simon interrupted, “love why don’t you come meet the girls.” I smiled, “I’d love to meet them.” I went over to where they were standing and they were looking beautiful. Simon introduced us, “Boys this is Jamie.” She smiled. “And this is Jules.” Jules, that’s the girl that caught my eye. “Girls this is Harry, Liam, Niall, Zayn, and Louis.” We all said hello and waved. Jamie smiled and walked out.
Jules POV
“Uh excuse me.” I went out to find Jamie. “Hey you ok?
“This is best!!” I laughed,”You make no sense.” she laughed, “I know I don’t make sense. When do I ever make sense. I’m just so overwhelmed with emotions and did you see how beautiful Zayn is in person!” Zayn chuckled, ‘You might want to take a breath love. Oh and thank you for calling me beautiful.” Jamie’s face.turned a pinkish color,”oh my gosh! You did not just hear all of that.” He nodded. “How long have you been standing there?” He smirked, “long enough. I came to get you girls because.Simon wants to talk to you.” I smiled,”oh we will be there in a minute.” He smiled and walked off. Jamie put her hand on her head, “Shit shit ahit!” I grabbed her hand, “Come on everything will be fine and he probably doesn’t think you are that big of a creep.” She panicked even more, “Probably?” I laughed and we both walked into the studio. Simon and the boys were sitting on the couches chatting away. Simon looked up,”There you are. We were all talking and we all were hoping that you ladies could do a song for us.”Jamie smiled, “We would love to!”
Simon smiled,”Great. Jules I know you rapped at your audition but I would really like to hear you sing, if that is alright with you.” I gave a nervous laugh, “I honestly could not sing to save my life.” Jamie shoved me,”Oh my gosh yes you can!”.She looked at Simon,”She is amazing.” I shook my head and Louis got up, “Can I talk to you love?” I nodded and we went outside the door. He smiled, “I know.its scary sometimes to perform so what I do is I picture a beautiful place and pretend I’m singing to my friends and family. I really think it helps. Just let it all out on the table don’t hold back we are all friends here.” I nodded and he smiled,”Good now let’s go in there and hear you kill it.” I smiled, “Sure.” We walked back in and Jamie was sitting by Zayn and it seemed like they were hitting it off great. “Uh so Jamie. Let’s pick a song.” She looked up and smiled. She looked at me then at the piano,”Play any song that comes to mind.” I sighed. This is not going like I thought it would.
Chapter three
Jules POV
I heard a bitter British accent speak, “Hello ladies. What are your names?”
Jamie spoke first, “I’m Jamie. I’m eighteen and I’m from Los Angeles, California.” I heard a few hoots and hollars. “Hello I’m Jules. I’m eighteen and I’m also from Los Angeles, California.’
Simon smiled, “What are you going to be doing for us today?” Jamie answered, “We will be singing and rapping Beauty and A beat by Justin Bieber.” He laughed, “Rapping? Who raps?”
I rose my hand, ‘yea me.”They all laughed, “you?” I smiled, “yes me.” He smiled, “This should be interesting. Whenever your ready ladies.” The track started to play and my heart started pounding. La went next, “You both were amazing and the crowd loved you but I’m going to have to say no.”
Brittany frowned, “I loved it but I feel that there are better artists then you. Sorry I’m going to have to say no also.” I looked at Jamie and I could see the tears escaping her eyes. Simon went next, “I cannot believe you guys are saying no these girls are sensational! They have the.voice, great performance, and they have the looks. I say yes a million times yes! Demi its up to you now.’ Demi looked at us and down at her notes, “I have to agree with Simon but I also have to agree with Brittany. I’m so sorry but I’m going to have to say no.” Simon hit the table, “Are you serious?!” Jamie ran off stage crying. Demi sighed, “is she going to be alright?”
I gave her a smile, “Probably not because her dreams have been crushed but no big deal right?’
Simon shook his head, “That’s not fair at all.”
“Thank you for your time.” I smiled and walked off the stage.
Jamie’s Pov
I couldn’t believe they said no. I tried so hard for nothing. I couldn’t handle the pain I felt so I ran off stage crying. Minutes later Jules came and hugged me, “it’s ok. Everything is going to be alright.” I cried even harder, “How could they say they loved it but then say no.” I looked up to see Jules crying too. I hugged her, “this is bs “We laughed. “I really don’t understand.” As we were getting our stuff and ready to head out the door we heard Simon’s voice, “Ladies can I have a word with you.” we nodded and followed him into his dressing room. He looked at us, “You girls are too good to let go.” we nodded. He continued, “so I want both of you to come over to the record company and take a look around.” I hugged him as hard as I could, “Thank you! Thank you!” Jules smiled, “Thank you Simon!” He hugged us, “You girls are going to have to work really hard especially since you didn’t even make it past the auditions. Nothing is official and you are going to have to prove yourselves.”
“We will I promise!” We exchanged numbers and we agreed to meet at the record studio tomorrow morning at six. “I can’t believe this is happening!” Jules smiled,”this is absolutely amazing. I thought it was over for us. I guess not.”I can’t wait for tomorrow and everything ahead of us. My dream is really coming true.

Demi’s POV
Todays auditions have been awful. Like I don’t even feel bad for saying no. ‘So Demi how do you feel about this year’s auditions?”
I chuckle, ‘There is a lot of work to do.”
Jamie’s POV
Once we get to the auditions everything starts to seem surreal. I look over at Jules and she seems a bit shaky, “You alright?” She smiles,’Yes just really really nervous and hating you for making me do this.”

She got out of the car, “yea yea.” we went inside to the registration table. We filled out our papers and got our numbers. I am number 400756 and Jules is 400757. We are auditioning togetherso as we wait to be called we practice. I practice my singing and Jules her raping. People are always surprised when they find out she raps. The song we chose to do is Beauty and A Beat by Justin Bieber. We both love the song. I start to sing and without noticing everyone around me stops to listen.

“Come with me.” We grabbed our stuff and went backstage with him. He turned to us, “Ok so when you get on stage just stage your name, age, and where your from. Then they will ask what song you will sing and just go along with the rest. You need at least three yeses to make it through. If it is a tie they will make an anonymous vote. Here are your mics. We will tell you when to go on stage.” we nodded a bit overwhelmed by all the information he told us. About five minutes later he came and told us that we could go on stage. My heart started pounding as we were walking on stage. Before I knew it we were on stage and in front of the judges.
